About Lahari

Haridas was born in an artistic sculptor family in Udupi, Karnataka, India. He graduated in Computer Science & Engineering from AIT, Chikmangalur in 1991. In 1998 he finished his post graduation in Computer Science & Engineering from MIT, Manipal.

He later moved to Mclean, Virginia, USA in 1999 to work as a Software Consultant. He is married to Nanditha who is also a software professional. Now they a daughter 'Nanma' - which means good wishes
Lahari is his brush name!.

Painting has been his hobby and passion since childhood. During schooling, Lahari has won many accolades and awards for his watercolor paintings. In the past few years he has developed a newfound interest in the Acrylic medium. His other interests include polymer sculpturing and designing.

Lahari believe his paintings are influenced by the great watercolor artist Tony Couch (www.tonycouch.com) and Acrylic/Oil painter Yarnell (www.yarnellart.com).

Lahari has received Outstanding Volunteer Award for his contribution at the 4th AKKA World Kannada conference. He designed and managed the convention website (www.AkkaOnline.org/2006). He designed all publicity materials and posters. His stage set design was the highlight of the convention.
Kaveri Kannada Association, Washington DC has awarded Creativity Award 2008 for his contribution to Art and Design and Creativity
